Heat Meter Installations in Mixed-Use Building
Work Carried Out
The White Collar Factory is a site classed as a village by our client due to the multiple buildings which form the village. Across these 6 buildings is a network of Heat Meters that monitor the energy used for heating and cooling requirements across the village. The Heat Meters are then networked back to a central BEMS system from which the client can monitor energy usage and adjust the building services accordingly to reduce energy usage.
The Heat Meters were originally installed with standard internal batteries which over time due to the volume of meters (207) were failing and the client was losing essential data to manage the large portfolio of building energy usage.
The project was to remove the internal batteries and replace with an OEM 24-volt DC power module powered from local CE panels. This included new central DC transformer systems, new wiring, containment, and local isolation points.
Asset Building services delivered this logistically challenging project whilst maintaining a healthy relationship with our tenants and we now have a fully operational heat meter system.
